June 20, 2016 - Just Awesome! The CoLab, Bagg's Square, in Utica, NY had its first and pre-opening act, last week with the Blue Cherry Band Happy to host these "MusicMakers" as they preform Believing In Not Believing



March 4, 2016 - The CoLab in Bagg's Square, Utica, NY, a creative space for makers and hackers in the Mohawk Valley says, "Go see Don Marinelli on March 10th, it is FREE!" Mr Marinelli is going to be at the Stanley Center for the Arts and is the co-founder of the world-renowned Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center. Follow that insitution @cmuetc.

February 14, 2016 - There continues progress in downtown Utica's forthcoming, independant, Bagg's Square Makerspace/Hackerspace. This year we will open, but today we are looking back to when the building was targeted to become Bagg's Square Clay, where articts and the whole community could have enjoyed ceramic arts. Maybe we'll still touch on this art, as we'll be open to all types of makers and hacker! Follow us on Twitter for updates.

November 6, 2015 - Take part in Central New York Hackathon a local cybersecurity conference and competition designed for students from Mohawk Valley Community College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Utica College, and Herkimer College. A great story of Utica-based company, which is still growing in 2015 after being started in 1888 by an industrious farmer-maker-hacker named D. B. Smith Mr Smith invention and development of a sprayer, that today can be found on the shelves of major retailers throughout the nation including Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart. The Roundup Pump ‘N Go Sprayer, designed and manufactured here in New York Mills, has become a sensation nationally.

"High-tech hardware is following the route that software took around the year 2000, with cheap resources and fast development leading to an explosion of products..."
